2017 GRCA Central Regional Specialty

GCGRC is pleased to host the 2017 Golden Retriever Club of America Central Regional Specialty.  The event will be held over two days, and will precede four days of Butler County all-breed dog shows plus two GCGRC concurrent specialties! Come join us!

Sweepstakes / Conformation

Butler County Fairgrounds  Thursday, May 25, 2017
Janice Provenzano (Hatfield, PA) – all conf. and jr. show.
Teri Poetker (Ohio City, OH) – all sweepstakes

Sweeps begins at 11:30AM

Conformation and Sweepstakes will be held indoors and in air conditioning!  Grooming will be about 50 feet away, outside, but under-cover.  Power will be limited but generators will be allowed, provided appropriate stand-off from the grooming “pole building”.  Chair is Rob Bedford (bedfordr@gmail.com)

Obedience / Rally

Obedience and Rally begin at 12:00Noon

The 2017 GRCA Central Regional WC/WCX will be held at the YMCA Camp Campbell Gard located 10 minutes from the Butler County Fairgrounds.  This facility has indoor plumbing, two nice fields and a beautiful pond.  Entries will be taken by Entry Express.  Chair is Carl Holzhauer (rhondaholzhauer@yahoo.com).

We are taking into consideration those that are entered in the Warren County Kennel Club all-breed 10 minutes away, but we need to know you’re entered in both so we can work around your show schedule. Again, please contact Rhonda Holzhauer (rhondaholzhauer@gmail.com) so we may schedule accordingly.

Grounds

Conformation / Obedience / Rally

Butler County Fairgrounds : All 2017 GRCA Central Regional conformation, obedience and rally events will be held indoors in an air-conditioned building.  This is also the site of four additional all-breed dog shows (Warren County Kennel Club of Ohio 5/26-27 and Cincinnati Kennel Club 5/28-29) as well as two additional Golden Retriever specialties hosted by GCGRC held concurrently with the all-breed shows 5/27-28!

CCA / WC/WCX

YMCA Camp Campbell Gard *Hughes Center* : All 2017 GRCA Central Regional  CCA and WC/WCX events will be held outdoors.  There is concrete parking for larger vehicles, indoor plumbing, a building and a pond for cooling off if it gets too warm!  It is located a short 10 minute drive from the Butler County Fairgrounds, and 6 minute drive from fast-food.

POT-LUCK

We are still excited to hold our annual pot-luck meal in the grooming pavilion the afternoon of Thursday, 5/26, approximately 30 minutes after Best of Breed.  Come out and join us to break bread with friends and enjoying great conversation.

RV

The grounds will be available beginning Thursday morning (no overnight camping arriving the day before the Central Regional).  As such, We are scheduling the Regional conformation, obedience, and rally to begin in the late morning.  RV sites will be available. Please see the all-breed premium lists for reservation information.

RVs will be allowed to arrive Wednesday evening, but will have to remain outside the fence until Thursday morning.  There is a large grassy area with plenty of trees outside the fence and there should be sufficient area for as many RVers that want to come.  You can line up to get onto the grounds Thursday morning.
